Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL), is celebrating the first anniversary of Grand i10 by introducing its ‘SportZ Edition’. Launched in September 2013, Grand has over 1.1 lakh owners in the country. It was also the Indian Car of the Year (ICOTY 2014).
Rakesh Srivastava, Sr. VP, Marketing and Sales, HMIL said his company was delighted to introduce the SportZ Edition of Grand amongst customers to celebrate this landmark. He said the Grand has created a benchmark in quality, features and technology offering higher value proposition and has been well appreciated by the auto fraternity by being the most awarded car of 2013. The car model achieved a milestone with the delivery of 100,000 Hyundai Grand cars within 10 months of its launch making it the fastest car to achieve this landmark in India, he noted.
The Grand ‘SportZ Edition’ has a host of sporty and high-tech features like 14”Diamond cut Alloy wheels, blue tooth connectivity, steering mounted audio and Bluetooth controls, leather wrap on steering wheel, rear spoiler, B-Pillar blackout along with body graphics. The interiors of the car have been further enhanced with premium full cloth upholstery and crafted in tones of red.
The SportZ is powered by a frugal 2nd generation U2 1.1 litre CRDi diesel engine which offers a fuel efficiency of 24 kmpl (ARAI figure). It is also powered by an all-aluminum 1.2 litre Kappa petrol engine that comes with Dual VTVT technology and a mileage of 18.9 kmpl (ARAI figure).
