In a bid to expand its line up and capture a greater chunk of the ever growing compact SUV market, Ford India has introduced a new top of the line Titanium+ petrol variant of the EcoSport with a manual transmission. The new model has been priced at Rs. 10.47 lakh (ex-showroom India).
The Titanium+ variant is powered by Ford's latest 1.5L Ti-VCT three cylinder engine, this petrol powered motor comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Ford's Titanium+ variant features 17 inch alloy wheels and also offers buyers 6 airbags ensuring all-round safety of its occupants. The petrol powered Titanium+ variant until now was only being offered to consumers as a 6-speed automatic version. The new 1.5L petrol engine marked its debut in India when the EcoSport was launched in November last year. The new engine achieves a 7pc reduction in CO2 emissions an returns nearly 17kms to a litre of fuel.
