Korean auto manufacturer Hyundai celebrated the world premiere of its stylish Santa Fe SUV. This is the fourth generation of the SUV which Hyundai unveiled to the audience at the 88th Geneva Motor Show. The SUV made its debut along side the all new Kona Electric SUV, the all new Hyundai NEXO and the concept car 'Le Fil Rouge'.
The new Hyundai NEXO is the world's first dedicated hydrogen powered SUV which also highlights the company's ambitions in the field of alternative powertrain options. The new Kona Electric offers the world its first fully electric subcompact SUV. The Kona Electric gets 204PS of power and a range of 470kms. The Kona boasts of roomy interiors and expresses the lifestyle of modern consumers.
Hyundai is taking the lead when it comes to fuel cell electric vehicles with the all new NEXO. They have also connected their clean mobility solution with autonomous driving capabilities and smart advanced driving assistance systems. This enables the SUV with a driving range of approximately 800kms (under current NEDC testing). The SUV will get features such as remote parking, blind spot view monitor and autonomous driving.
Hyundai's fourth generation Santa Fe gets a strong stance and a sporty character with elongated lines. The front features an enlarged Cascading Grille, Hyundai has preserved the SUV family identity that is complemented by the composite light. Hyundai is offering the latest Smart Sense active safety and driving assistance features, the fourth generation of the Santa Fe makes available advanced technology accessible to everyone. The company has also announced the launch of the New Santa Fe as a hybrid and plug-in hybrid version.
The concept car 'Le Fil Rouge' showcases Hyundai's new design direction under the theme 'Sensuous Sportiness'. In a bid to give a deeper insight into Hyundai's connected car technology, the company also showcased its Intelligent Personal Cockpit which is a latest application of multiple cutting edge technologies like loT and voice recognition (AI). The cockpit offers an entire suite of voice control capabilities and includes car-to-home loT capability which extends the reach of the driver's voice control capability to their home.
