Jaguar Land Rover has unveiled their Jaguar I-Pace race car at the Frankfurt motor show. The race car will compete in the first of its kind single make series in line with FIA's Formula E world championship series. Jaguar has based this electric race car on the I-Pace, an all electric performance SUV which will be launched next year. The new Jaguar I-Pace eTROPHY series will begin at the Formula E circuit in 2018.

The pace of change is exhilarating and we want to go above and beyond for our customers". The Jaguar I-Pace race car will be manufactured by JLR's Special Vehicle Operations team. The I-Pace eTROPHY will feature 20 identical specification electric race cars which will go head to head across 10 cities.
