Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) launched their new Verna sedan in the domestic market on August 22, 2017. The car has already received 7,000 bookings and more than 70,000 enquiries. Hyundai has announced it will be making the first 10,000 deliveries of the Verna before the festive season of Diwali.
The new 2017 Hyundai Verna gets sophisticated looks. Unlike the 4th generation Fluidic Verna which sported curvy lines, the new Verna gets arrow straight lines and an executive appeal. This shift in design language is also witnessed on the new Hyundai Elantra which gets a more refined and dapper appearance.
The new 5th generation 2017 Hyundai Verna will go up against rivals Maruti Ciaz and Honda City. Apart from an overhaul of the exteriors, Hyundai has also made some changes on the mechanical front. The new Verna will be offered with a 1.6L, CRDi diesel mill and a 1.6L, VTVT petrol engine. Both engines will get the options of 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmissions.
