Nissan Motor India launched the Micra hatchback with new features and aesthetic changes for a starting price of Rs. 5,99,000 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Micra will now get features such as automatic headlamps with a 'lead me home' function and rain sensing wipers for the top trim variants. The Nissan Micra with these updated features is now available across showrooms in India.

The interiors of the hatch have also been updated; it gets a new European black theme with piano black finish. Nissan has also added orange accents on the seats, dash and arm rest. A 2-DIN audio setup has also been installed on the Micra which now gets Bluetooth as a standard features. The Micra also offers consumers convenience features like steering mounted controls, push button start/ stop and i-key.

The Micra is powered by a 1.2L petrol engine and also gets the option of a 1.5L diesel mill. The 1.2L petrol comes mated only to an automatic CVT while the 1.5L diesel only gets a 5-Speed manual transmission option. The Petrol CVT is being offered for a starting price of Rs. 5.99 lakh making it one of the most affordable CVT's on offer in the Indian market. While the diesel powered variant returns 23.08kmpl the petrol CVT version returns almost 19.34kms to a litre.
Nissan is also offering the Micra with a 3 years/ 50,000kms extended warranty package. The Nissan Micra is now available in seven exterior colours including Brick Red, Turquoise Blue, Blade Silver, Onyx Black, Nightshade, Storm White and Sunshine Orange. On the exterior Nissan is also offering a slightly reworked bumper with a touch of chrome.
