Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) has every reason to celebrate as its Activa scooter has reiterated its No.1 position. For the third time in last 11 months that Activa achieved highest sales amongst all 2- wheeler models sold in the country.
In July’14, Honda Activa sold 1,91,883 units and achieved YOY growth of 64pc from July ’13 to July’14. This was stated in a press note issued by HMSI.
Yadvinder S. Guleria- Vice President, Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said this achievement is more significant since an automatic scooter displaced a motorcycle for numero uno position in Indian 2- wheeler industry.
Since its launch in FY 2001-02, Honda Activa has been registering a steady growth. It has under gone technology up-gradation for better mileage during this period. The latest launch Activa 125 has received an overwhelming response from the market. The Activa is preferred not just by young men but also women and even older people. It’s the preferred choice for customers of all ages.
