Indian Motorcycle of the United States has finally launched the 2019 FTR 1200 S and the FTR 1200 S Race Replica. The bikes are priced at Rs.15,99,000 and Rs. 17,99,000 (Ex-Showroom) respectively. The all-new Indian FTR 1200 S and FTR 1200 S Race Replica were launched in the presence of popular actor R. Madhavan and Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director and Country Head, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd. The company has also tied up with Orix India for leasing luxury bikes to the customers.
Since 2017 when the FTR 750 set the American Flat Track Professional racing series ablaze, there has been a clamour for the FTR street version. Thus was born the FTR 1200 and the FTR 1200 S. Indian gets the FTR 1200 S and the FTR 1200 S Race Replica.
The new FTR range of bikes are powered by a liquid cooled V-twin engine with a 1203cc heart and an electronic fuel injection. It generates a peak power of 123 hp and a peak torque of 120Nm @ 6000rpm. The bike typically has a flat tracker style. Flat track incidentally are tracks that are not paved usually, like dirt tracks. It comes with a trellis frame with a sporty riding position, Brembo brakes, Dunlop tyres and a host of exciting features.
The bike has a wheel base of 1524mm, a seat height of 805mm/850mm. It has a ground clearance of 183mm. The overall length is 2287mm, the overall width is 850mm and a GVWR of 430kg. The weight without fuel is 225kg and with fuel is 230 kg. The bike has a fuel capacity of 13litre.
It has a full LED lights. The FTR 1200S gets a 4.3 inches ride command touch screen, 3 ride modes that are sport, standard and rain, a fully adjustable front and rear suspension, lean sensitive traction and stability control.
The gauges consists of 4.3 inch customizable ride command control LCD touch screen display including bluetooth and fast charging USB port, digital tachometer, odometer, trip meter, engine temperature and low fuel lamp.
The front suspension comprises inverted telescopic cartridge fort with 150mm travel, while the rear is a monotube IFP with 150mm travel. The front brakes consists of dual discs with a 4 piston caliper while the rear is a single disc with a 2 piston caliper. The front tyre is 120/70 R19 60V and the rear is 150/70 R18 70v. It has a good looking 2 into one exhaust.
The FTR 1200 S is available in Indian Motorcycle Red over Steel Gray, Titanium Metallic over Thunder Black Pearl, and a Race-Replica paint scheme, matching the iconic FTR750 race bike.
The FTR 1200 S Race Replica has got an Akrapovic Exhaust as standard.
