TVS Motor Company has
announced its entry into the 125cc scooter segment in India. The company launched
the NTORQ 125 for Rs. 58,750 (ex-showroom Delhi). TVS is also offering the NTORQ
with an exclusive technology platform - TVS SmartXonnect, making it India's
first connected scooter.
NTORQ has been designed for the youth and comes with a state-of-the-art
CVTi-REVV 3Valve engine. The TVS NTORQ gets features such as bluetooth enabled
mobile phone connectivity, navigation assist, multiple modes such as - Street,
Sport, Ride Stats, lap timer, app enabled parking locator, app assistance,
engine kill switch, engine oil temperature display on speedometer and a top

The TVS NTORQ 125 comes
with a 124.79cc, single cylinder, 4 stroke, 3 valve, air cooled SOHC engine
which is capable of producing 9.25hp at 7500rpm and 10.5Nm of torque at
5500rpm. The company claims the scooter is able to achieve a top speed of
95kmph and good acceleration figures.
The NTORQ has been designed
taking cues from that of stealth aircraft, it gets a sharp and aggressive style
with signature LED tail lamps. The new TVS NTORQ also gets an aggressive
headlamp cluster and textured floor board along with diamond cut alloy wheels. The
scooter will be available in 4 different colour options - Matte Yellow, Matte
Green, Matte Red and Matte White.
The TVS SmartXonnect can be
download from Google Play Store and gets 55 features including the ones
mentioned earlier. The scooter gets
wider 110x80x12 tyres and a telescopic suspension in the front and a short turning
radius. Additional features such as pass by switch, dual side steering lock,
parking brake and engine kill switch cater to comfort and convenience of the
riders. The scooter also comes with an external fuel fill, USB charger, large
under seat storage and TVS's patented EZ centre stand. TVS is offering the
scooter in a disc brake variant and have also included LED DRLs to enhance
safety on the new NTORQ 125 scooter.
