TVS Motor Company has launched its popular Apache 200 4V naked sports motorcycle with a new ABS variant. The bike has been launched for Rs. 1,07,485 (ex-showroom Delhi) and will get a first in segment Dual Channel ABS.
The new Dual Channel ABS unit that has been fitted on the Apache RTR 200 4V has undergone extreme and extensive research on the race track. According to a press release the Apache RTR 200 4V with ABS displays superior confidence in late braking and optimal cornering control. The ABS unit has been tuned for both high friction as well as low friction surfaces to ensure a precise and sharp feedback for the rider's benefit.
The ABS unit also comes with features such as a Rear Wheel Lift-off Protection (RLP) control offering quick detection and recovery of a wheel lock up. It also achieves higher dynamic stability through precise close loop slip control. TVS has also added an ABS sticker on the right side of the motorcycle's front mud guard.
The Apache RTR 200 4V comes with impressive power and torque figures, the bike's single cylinder engine produces 20.2hp at 8500rpm and a torque figure of 18.1Nm at 7000rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox. The bike is capable of reaching a top speed 127kmph and can reach 60kmph from stand still in 3.95 seconds.
