Italian sport bike manufacturer Ducati launched the new SuperSport motorcycle in India for Rs. 12,08,000 (ex-showroom India). The company also launched the SuperSport S which has been priced at Rs. 12,39,000 (ex-showroom India). Powering this sport bike is Ducati's 937cc Testastretta engine which turns 110hp at 9,000rpm and a max torque of 93Nm at 6,500rpm.
This is Ducati's seventh motorcycle launch in India. Present at the launch was Sergi Canovas, Managing Director, Ducati India. The bike gets an aerodynamic front fairing and a sculpted and muscular fuel tank. Ducati has included an electronics package on the new SuperSport which improves rider safety. The bike comes with Sport, Touring and Urban riding modes. Features like Ride-by-Wire, ABS and DTC (traction control) have been added. Ducati Safety Pack (DSP) has also been added to the bike which includes a Bosch 9MP ABS and Ducati Traction Control.
The Ducati SuperSport S comes with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension, Ducati Quick Shift up/down system (race derived technology) and rear seat cover. Ducati Quick Shift and rear seat cover are also available as optional fitment on the SuperSport. The Italian sport bike manufacturer has also made provisions for customers to fit a whole range of Ducati Performance accessories as per their choice. The company has begun deliveries of both bikes from their dealerships across the country.
