Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. has announced the commencement of bookings for the new CRF 1000L Africa Twin motorcycle. The new bike from the stables of Honda has been launched for an ex-showroom Delhi price of Rs. 12.90 lakh . The adventure tourer comes from the Japanese brands global line-up and will be their first 1000cc 'Make in India' model.
Honda has said bookings will be open for the first 50 customers only. Bookings can be made through exclusive sales and service Wing World outlets located across 22 cities in India. The adventure tourer is powered by a 1000cc parallel twin cylinder engine which belts out 87.17bhp at 7500rpm and 92Nm of torque at 6000rpm. Honda has also added technology such as a Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) which offers riders a choice of manual as well as automatic gear shifts to suit different terrain. Honda has also included kit such as switchable rear ABS and HSTC (Honda Selectable Torque Control).
The new Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin has been built on a lightweight and agile chassis with an inverted cartridge type fully adjustable front forks with a 230mm stroke. The bike gets a 250mm ground clearance and also boasts of dual LED headlamps. The bike has been launched in a New Victory Red Colour.
