Two wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp, showcased their new Dawn 125 motorcycle at the 2016 EICMA show in Milan. The new Dawn 125 has been designed and developed specifically for African markets. The new motorcycle was unveiled at EICMA by Pawan Munjal, Chairman, Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer, Hero MotoCorp.
According to the press release, the Dawn 125 is a durable product designed to target the commercial segment in African markets. The Dawn 125 highlights utility requirements such as strength, durability and fuel efficiency. It also leverages the company's fuel efficiency technology to provide riders with a longer range and more savings. The bike is powered by a single cylinder, air cooled, 4-stroke motor which puts out 9bhp at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 10.35Nm at 4000rpm.
The Dawn 125 gets a big, round clear lens headlamp for better night visibility and metallic front fenders for increased strength. It also has an elongated seat as well as a wide rear carrier and extended footrest for more comfort. The motorcycle is available at dealerships across major African markets which include Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mozambique among others.
