awaited T6X which is India's first electric motorcycle was launched today by
Tork Motors for an introductory price of Rs. 1,24,999 (company selling price). The
T6X is a culmination of efforts in R&D over a span of seven years. This
electric motorcycle comes in at a time when many auto manufacturers are looking
to explore more options in electric mobility. However the T6X is not like
electric powered vehicles offered in the market today, it can achieve a
cruising speed of 100kmph and has a peak torque output of 27Nm from the word
also offers a lot of features like on board navigation, storage space, cloud
connectivity, full digital display, quick charge and superior acceleration.
Customers can also sync their mobile phones to the motorcycle using the Tork
app. The mobile application enables users to view vehicle health, range,
service alerts and customised riding profiles. The T6X also comes with safety
features like ABS, CDS, anti-theft, geo fencing and DRLs. The bike also gets
TIROS (Tork Intuitive Response Operating System) which analyses and compiles
data, power management, real time power consumption and range forecasts for
every ride. TIROS is an adaptive system which also can learn the way you ride.
is powered by lithium ion batteries which have been engineered to travel at a
top speed of 100kmph and can run a total of 100kms on a single charge. The
quick charge battery can achieve 80pc charge in an hour's time and takes 2
hours to achieve full charge. Depending on usage the battery can last anywhere
from 80,000kms to 1,00,00kms. The company has presently set up 6 charging
points in Pune and aims to expand this to a robust charging infrastructure of
100 charging stations by December 2016.
The T6X has
been handcrafted with ample of custom designed elements, it also features
futuristic styling, sporty graphics and an aggressive design philosophy. The bike
gets only one moving part which ensures a minimum level of corrosion, wear and
tear, sound or vibration and also has a lightweight structure which results in
its superior acceleration. The T6X will be introduced in Pune, Bangalore
and Delhi for the first phase. The bike
also gets three colour options and pre-bookings for the T6X are now open
