The KTM RC series of supersport motorcycle made its entry into India with the launch of the RC 390 and the RC 200.
The RC 390 has strong racing genes and is a superbike in its own right, the 373.27 cc, 4 stroke, 1-cylinder engine producing 43 bhp power and 35 Nm of torque. It has a host of premium features like ABS by Bosch, Metzeler tyres, upside down forks by WP and an aluminum swingarm.With an advanced aerodynamic design and a power to weight ratio of 258bhp /tonne, the RC 390 provides a pure racing experience.It has a Bosch EFI fuel system. The engine has a 6-speed constant mesh transmission.
Weighing 159.5kg (without fuel), the bike has Metzeler Sportec tyres with 110mm front profile and a 150mm rear tyre profile. The fuel tank capacity is 9.5 litres. The bike boasts of 157mm ground clearance.
The KTM RC 390 will be backed by a rapidly expanding network of 140 exclusive KTM dealerships in India.. Amit Nandi, Sr. Vice President Bajaj Probiking said that KTM has grown by 120pc in the current financial year. With the RC’s he expected KTM to be the fastest growing motorcycle brand in India. “
Booking for the bike will commence from September 10, 2014 at all KTM showrooms.The bike is priced at Rs 205000 ex showroom Delhi.
