Mahindra Two Wheelers (MTWL),
part of the Mahindra Group, has unveiled an all-new Mahindra Gusto 125 in Pune
in the state of Maharashtra. The scooter comes with a new 125cc engine and four
new styles in unique colours of orange rush, bolt white, monarch black and
regal red. The scooter will be first launched in the southern states of the
country in February 2016 and then later launched in the rest of the regions. The
Mahindra Gusto was launched a year back with an 110cc engine. The Gusto portfolio
will now grow to accommodate the new 125cc scooter also.
The Mahindra Gusto 125cc
engine can develop 8.6 bhp @ 7000 rpm and a peak torque of 10Nm @ 6500rpm.
The new Mahindra Gusto 125
scooter retains all its technology features that was there in the erstwhile
110cc Mahindra Gusto scooter. These features include the height adjustable seat
and several innovations like remote flip key, find me lamps, guide lamp, bright
halogen lamp with LED pilot lams, easy front kick and a quick storage compartment.
The scooter is also powered by the high performance, refined M-TEC engine
technology with features such as stronger crankshaft and bearings, high inertia
magneto, high energy HT coil and series regulator. All this leads to superior
power, fuel efficiency and reliability.
The Mahindra Gusto 125 has
been completely developed in house at Mahindra’s R&D centre in Pune. The
scooter rides on large 12 inches wheels with tubeless tyres, front telescopic
suspension with air springs, long stroke hydraulic rear suspension, high ground
clearance and wide wheel base.
At the unveiling of the new
scooter, Vinod Sahay, Chief Operating Office, Mahindra Two Wheelers said, “We
are delighted with the customers’ response towards Mahindra Gusto 110cc scooter
range. Since its launch last year, it has grown consistently and we are now

segments. The all-new Mahindra Gusto 125 is bound to turn heads on the Indian
roads as it is packed with a powerful 125cc engine and stylish looks to
match....”
