The new Norton 450 urban uses 17-inch cast wheels and road-focused tyres to emphasise agility and confidence. A more rugged visual character is also offered, with additional weather protection and the use of distinct colours to blend urban suitability with a wider capability while retaining the new Norton 450 urban’s underlying road manners and performance.
Adjustable brake and clutch levers, a low seat and optimised heat management all offer enhanced comfort levels at all times and for longer distances.
Technology that supports the ride
Both models benefit from a package of integrated technology that broadens capability without complicating the riding experience. The latest systems provide additional safety and security. Dynamic LED headlights, cornering ABS, traction control and cruise control work alongside three rider modes. The level of electronic support is customisable, offering riders the potential to tune the bike exactly how they want.
Connectivity and advanced features allow the bike to integrate into and compliment the rider’s lifestyle: keyless ignition and smartphone connectivity are as important as features like heated grips, a 8” TFT touchscreen, an integrated USB-C charger, a tyre pressure monitoring system and quickshifter.
The guiding principle is the same one applied throughout Norton’s new generation of motorcycles: technology should enhance confidence, convenience and engagement and not dominate the riding experience.
THE NEW NORTON RANGE AT EICMA 2026
The new Norton 450 urban shares the Norton stand at EICMA with the production versions of the motorcycles that began the company’s new-generation product programme.
The Manx R represents Norton’s flagship sports offering, combining muscular design with real-world performance and advanced technology. Alongside it, the Manx translates the same fundamental philosophy into a more upright, naked format.
The Atlas and Atlas GT establish Norton in the middleweight adventure and sport-touring categories. Both use the same 585 cc parallel-twin powertrain and core chassis architecture but employ distinct wheel, suspension and ergonomic configurations to create two different riding personalities.
Atlas uses a 19-inch spoked front wheel and longer-travel suspension to provide greater mixed-surface capability, while Atlas GT adopts 17-inch cast wheels and a lower, more road-oriented chassis for commuting, touring and faster road riding.
