Ducati India announced the launch of its first-ever motocross bike, the Desmo450 MX, marking a historic entry into the country's burgeoning off-road segment. The introductory ex-showroom price for the Ducati Desmo450 MX in India starts at INR 17,23,600.
Developed and tested on the competitive tracks of the MXGP World Championship, the Desmo450 MX is a production motorcycle born from Ducati's racing DNA, designed to deliver thrilling performance to both professional riders and amateur enthusiasts across India.
The motorcycle will be available only at 4 select Ducati dealerships which are Ducati New Delhi, Ducati VFM Bengaluru, Ducati Chennai and Ducati Pune. Bookings are now open and the deliveries are scheduled to begin by end of March 2026.
The Desmo450 MX is engineered to be powerful, lightweight, and easy to ride. It boasts of a unique 449.6 cc Ducati single-cylinder engine with Desmodromic distribution, a feature unmatched in the motocross landscape. This allows for an exceptionally broad power delivery, combining strong torque at low-to-medium revs with remarkable extension. The bike's innovative electronics, including a sophisticated traction control system, provide riders with enhanced confidence to push their limits.
The Desmo450 MX is the first bike in a new range of specialist off-road motorcycles from Ducati. Its lightweight aluminum frame is designed with minimal welds to improve strength, rigidity, and agility.
It also introduces advanced electronics to the motocross segment. The Desmo450 MX is the first motocross bike in the world with Traction Control that accurately measures rear wheel slip and intelligently activates only when needed, ensuring it does not interfere with the bike’s performance.
To further customize the riding experience, the Ducati Performance catalogue offers a wide range of accessories. These include Factory components such as machined wheel hubs and triple clamps, a complete Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, and Brembo Racing brake calipers. A dedicated technical apparel collection, created with Drudi Performance and featuring Alpinestars will also be available for riders to complete the Factory look.
