River EV opened its first store in Delhi at Rajouri Garden, marking a significant step in its nationwide expansion. The company-owned store spans 6,300 sq. ft. and will act as a hub for River’s Northern expansion, supporting the brand’s growth and presence across key cities in the region. The River Indie, referred to as the SUV of scooters, is now available in Delhi at an ex showroom price of Rs 1,45,999.
With the Delhi store, River EV now operates 34 stores across India, including in Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, Coimbatore, Patna, and Hubli. Building on this footprint, the brand is rapidly scaling its presence across the country. By March 2026, River EV aims to open 80 stores, with expansion focused in key states such as Punjab, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and Gujarat.
The store features the Indie Gen 3 alongside a curated collection of exclusive accessories and lifestyle merchandise.
The Indie Gen 3 comes with upgraded tyres for better grip, a redesigned display with clearer information, integrated range and charging details, and improved app integration offering ride statistics, hill-hold assist, customisable data points, and real-time charging status across different modes.

Earlier this year, the company crossed the 1,800-unit monthly sales milestone in March 2025, reflecting the surging demand for its products.
River is an electric scooter company based in Bengaluru. Founded in March 2021 by Aravind Mani and Vipin George, River is backed by marquee investors such as Japan-based Yamaha Motor Corporation, Mitsui & Co.Ltd, Marubeni Corporation, Dubai based Al Futtaim group, Chris Sacca's Lowercarbon Capital, Toyota Ventures, Maniv Mobility, and Trucks VC.
The River Indie scooter was launched on February 22, 2023, with deliveries beginning in August 2023.
The Indie was designed as a practical and capable electric scooter with features like extensive storage and motorcycle-inspired components. It is the only electric scooter in India with a chain drive. The company is offering an 8-year or 80,000 km extended warranty on the battery and motor for both new and existing River Indie customers for Rs 8399 plus GST. That includes three years manufacturing warranty and five years of extended warranty.
The vehicle boasts of 14-inch alloy wheels. It has 55 litres storage, of which 12L is the glovebox space and another 43L is under the seat. It has unique front foot-pegs for the rider to stretch his or her legs. Then it gets pannier mounts that let you easily attach and remove luggage without any extra tools. They also offer side-panel protection in tight spaces or in case of a fall. A USB charging port under the handlebar keeps your devices powered all through the journey.
The grab rail is also a mount rail. It works both ways. Grab onto the rail when riding pillion or mount any accessory by simply bolting it on.
It has an IDC range of 161 km (110 km real world range), a combined braking system, with disc brakes.
It has a charging Time (0–80%) of 5 hours. The vehicle attains a top speed of 90 km/h with 0-40kmph coming in 3.9 seconds. With a 4 kWh battery, it attains a torque of 26Nm and a peak power of 6.7kw or 9bhp. It achieves a gradeability of 18 deg
Parking the vehicle comes easy as it has both reverse and forward mechanism. One can move conveniently out of parking, even on inclines at a speed of around 3 km/h.
