Almost 10 months later, the company is planning big in the electric two wheeler space with a possible Korean tie up of a global stature.
In an exclusive interview with Motown India, the Founder of Omega Seiki Mobility Uday Narang revealed that a Korean brand will be setting base in India for manufacturing electric two wheelers. “We are happy to say that an entire Korean plant is coming to India. We would be producing a Made in Korea product in India. We are getting the entire patents; the whole product and we will be showcasing it very soon and will be producing it in India for the global markets”.
Besides this, with an eye on India’s rural market, the company will be coming out with a new electric two wheeler by the name of Mopedo which is for the rural area. “This is something I would like to showcase in the next two months. Testing has been going on in the villages, in our farm lands and it is a product for the rural market and for the masses. I want to bring electrification in a very big way to rural India,” Narang mentioned.
On the progress of his existing electric two wheelers which the company had launched late last year, Uday Narang pointed out that the recent incidents of fire involving several big brands in the lectric two wheeler space has forced him to spend more time on R&D so that his products maintain its quality and safety
“The two wheeler market is very important to me. But looking at what have happened with some of the products of different OEMs, we thought let us take it back a bit into R&D so that we maintain quality, safety, etc,” he noted.
