We’ve been busy. The Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 went for its first service or check-up at 546km or so. Once it was back from the service, we’ve been using it on a daily basis in Pune’s hideous weekend traffic, racing squids on 390s and fetching a lot of groceries (with a bag of course).
Since I was fresh off a track test (where I won the award for the slowest lap time ever), I even managed to give the bike its first taste of the rev-limiter.
The Ed called me asking how the bike was doing and what I’d be using it for. Very responsibly, I said “I’m not happy with the way I ride. I’m getting fit and using the Interceptor to ride better”. In reality I’m just ripping the 650 on every other straightway and hogging Tacos from Taco Bell. The weather in Pune is much more pleasant which leaves us craving for long rides. Maybe the next step is a set of accessories.
