More than six lakh people
visited the Auto Expo-The Motor Show 2016 held in Greater Noida from February 5
to 9, 2016, setting a new record for visitors, as curtains came down on this
prestigious auto show.
Motown India was one of the media partner to the show and was at stall
No. N 32 in Hall No. 16.
The previous day 109,539
footfalls were recorded at the venue on the penultimate day of the show. Huge
crowds thronged in for third day in a row to see new trucks, buses, cars and
two-wheelers at the India Expo Mart.
The exposition, jointly organised
by - Automotive Component Manufacturers Association (ACMA), Confederation of
Indian Industry (CII) and Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM),
was held from February 5-9, 2016.
Vishnu Mathur, Director
General, SIAM, expressing his delight on the success of the show said, “We
believe the Auto Expo has successfully evolved from being just another
exhibition of vehicles to a showcase of Indian manufacturing strength and
technological capabilities. With over 108 new products being launched and
unveiled and over 601914 footfalls received over the last one week, we believe
this Expo will strengthen the belief of our manufacturers in the Indian
automotive industry. We would like to thank all those who visited the Motor
Show as well as all our exhibitors, partners and the media. They are the ones
who have made this show a success and helped us reach the desired level of

Total crowd stood at the Expo,
601914. In addition, The Auto Expo – The Component show witnessed a
footfall of 114,000 at the Pragati Maidan between
February 4 – 7th, 2016.
Apart from the premium car
stalls, a large number of people gathered around the alternative fuel vehicles

Apart from the visitors, the
Motor Show saw a host of senior dignitaries who visited the Expo Mart.
The UP police and the local
authorities seamlessly managed the traffic and the crowd at the Expo ensuring
smooth and cordial experience for all visitors.
Several Bollywood superstars
like Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Katrina Kaif, John Abraham, among others were
at the show to unveil and launch new products.
The first day at Auto Expo
registered 71,000 visitors as it opened for general public. Thereafter the
crowds simply grew in proportions.
The Vintage car pavilion was
another crowd puller, with cars from the Golden era displaying their charm
enthralling one and all at the Expo. The ‘Bollywood motor’ section also caught
eye-balls as it established the connect between Bollywood and the vehicles that
have attained a cult status.
Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
(HMIL),meanwhile, announced that over 500,000 visitors to the Auto Expo 2016
have Experienced Hyundai.
Hyundai Pavilion at the Auto Expo has been one
of the stand out pavilions featuring 17 cars across 12 zones representing the
present and the future of automobiles in India. Visitors interest at the
Hyundai pavilion has been visible towards the Global SUV –Tucson and HND- 14
