NEW DELHI – Delphi Automotive, a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for automotive, commercial vehicle and other market segments has announced the recent appointment of Reji Varghese as president and managing director, Delphi India. This position was previously held by Ashok B. Ramaswamy who will be moving back to Delphi’s Electronics & Safety division, Kokomo, Indiana USA. In this role, Reji will be responsible for leading the Delphi India management team and driving Delphi's business development growth to the next level. Reji will also be managing director for Delphi Connection Systems’ India operations. “We are very pleased to have someone with Reji's skill-set at this exciting stage of Delphi's development in the region. Reji is an industry veteran and his vision and reputation of driving exceptional business growth in technology companies will help Delphi accelerate its growth and strengthen its technology development capabilities in India”, said Majdi Abulaban, president, Delphi Asia Pacific. “During his previous assignment with Delphi, Reji had made exceptional contribution in developing our Electrical/Electronic Architecture (EEA) division. I am extremely confident that Delphi India will achieve remarkable milestones under his leadership.” Abulaban added. Reji had earlier worked with Delphi from 1996 to 2009 and handled various assignments in the EEA division as director program management for two of Delphi’s business units. Prior to this new appointment, Reji was associated with Samcor Glass Ltd. and Teletube Electronics Ltd. Reji holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering from India.
