Lohia Auto Industries, a Strategic Business Unit of the NK Lohia promoted Lohia Group, has announced to step in the three wheeler segment. The company is planning to launch its new three-wheeler model both in the diesel and the CNG variant this financial year. The models will be available in passenger as well as commercial vehicle segment. The company focuses to make cost effective three wheelers which would in turn lead to lesser commuting expenses. Ayush Lohia, CEO, Lohia Auto Industries, said, “We have plans to expand our business by stepping into the three wheeler market. We look forward to launch products that are highly competitive to the existing product segment. Our vehicles will be compatible to meet the Bharat Stage 3 emission Standards.” Addressing to the expansion plan he added “We are in the process of appointing dealerships across Northern India and we will be moving towards the South by this fiscal itself.” The company has already introduced four electric bikes in the market named, OMA, OMA Star, OMA Star DX and Fame. Lohia Auto has a manufacturing plant in Kashipur, Uttrakhand with the capacity to produce 1000 units a day. With the new launches, Lohia Auto plans to be a significant player in three wheeler segment.
