Delphi Automotive has announced that it will showcase a range of innovative technologies during the 11th Auto Expo 2012, to be held in New Delhi from 7-11, January 2012. The Delphi innovation display will include technologies around the megatrends of Safe, Green and Connected. The Indian arm of the NYSE-listed firm has continued to expand its presence and enhance the capacity of its facilities in India. The company is also aggressively expanding its product portfolio, and engineering and manufacturing capabilities. “The Indian auto industry is growing significantly and we are pleased to be a part of this exciting phase of growth and innovation in India. Visitors to Delphi’s display will witness technologically advanced products and solutions that can unlock the future of a safe and seamlessly connected auto world. Delphi has a strong focus on developing products that reduce carbon emissions, helping automakers to make the world greener and meeting upcoming stringent global regulations on emissions regulations. As such, improvements that will have a strong impact on environmental friendliness can be made under the hood. Delphi’s groundbreaking work with gas engines has led to a portfolio of products that reduce CO2 emissions. Delphi’s green technologies in areas such as air-conditioning and weight reduction can help in reducing fuel usage by up to 50 percent and increase the range of hybrid and electric vehicles. Delphi will also showcase its entire aftermarket product portfolio, including vehicle electronics, thermal, chassis and suspension as well as maintenance products. The portfolio developed to OE standards is distributed through national, regional and state level distributors reaching over 5,000 dealers/retailers across India. Around sixty-five wholesale distributors support Delphi’s aftermarket products across India and the products are available in over 90 cities.
