Revolt Motors, a leading electric bike brand in India and a wholly owned subsidiary of RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, has secured an order to supply 1,100 BlazeX electric bikes from Bihar Police for patrolling operations. The order marks an important step in the company's institutional business, extending the application of its electric bikes beyond individual riders to public-sector mobility and law enforcement requirements.
A fleet of 1,100 electric motorcycles entering service in a single order takes electric motorcycles well beyond trial use in law enforcement. This order will also work as a catalyst for other state police forces, defense organizations, government departments, public-sector undertakings and other institutions looking to electrify their two-wheeler fleets.
For patrolling teams, the usefulness of a bike extends beyond its on-road performance. Charging flexibility, the ability to carry essential equipment and the distance covered between charges can all influence day-to-day operations. The Revolt BlazeX offers a range of up to 150 km and can be charged using a standard 10A power socket, giving operators greater flexibility in identifying suitable charging points without necessarily depending on dedicated charging infrastructure. Its removable battery adds another charging option, while under-seat storage allows the charger to be carried on the bike and kept accessible when required. It also provides significant savings for organizations since electric bikes have significantly less running and maintenance costs than a petrol equivalent, savings that add up quickly across a fleet of this size.
The BlazeX also comes with inbuilt GPS, offering location-related functionality that supports vehicle tracking. Together, these features make the BlazeX a practical electric mobility option for organizations evaluating the use of electric bikes in regular field operations. The order also represents an opportunity for Revolt to serve a use case where vehicle availability, charging arrangements and day-to-day usability matter alongside performance.
Patrolling requires dependable mobility and practical arrangements for keeping vehicles ready for daily duty. Factors such as charging access, range and the ability to manage vehicles across operational areas make Revolt electric bikes an ideal option for electric fleet.
Commenting on the order, Anjali Rattan, Chairperson, RattanIndia Enterprises Limited, said, “Securing an order for 1,100 electric bikes from Bihar Police is a significant step for Revolt. Institutional mobility presents a different set of requirements from individual ownership, and engagements of this scale give us an opportunity to take our products into real-world operating environments. We see institutional adoption as an important avenue for expanding the role of electric bikes in India.”
The bikes are scheduled to be delivered in Patna. The order carries a contractual completion timeline of January 2027, while Revolt Motors is working towards completing deliveries by November 2026 signifying its strong execution capabilities.
The order builds on Revolt Motors' presence in India's electric bike market, supported by a community of more than 60,000 riders and a network of over 182+ dealerships across the country. The company continues to expand its reach through products designed for everyday mobility and opportunities to serve a broader range of institutional requirements.
