Electric passenger vehicles sales grew by a substantial 44.48 per cent in Feb 2026 YoY from 9505 units in Feb 2025 to 13733 units in Feb 2026, according to the latest data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations (FADA). Electric two wheelers grew by 45.60 per cent in Feb 2026 at 1,11,709 units as compared to 76,722 units in Feb 2025.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles led the industry with 5568 units, followed by JSW MG Motor India with 3312 units and Mahindra & Mahindra with 2913 units. Vinfast Auto India, the Vietnamese company which is among the latest to join the EV race in India, managed to sell 384 units, placing itself fourth in the group, ahead of the likes of BYD India, Hyundai Motor India, Kia and BMW, among others.
Leading the electric two wheeler pack was TVS Motor Company with 31,614 units as compared to 18,955 units in Feb 2025. In second place was Bajaj Auto with 25,328 units and Ather Energy with 20,584 units. All these companies registered a positive growth. The only company to have registered a negative growth YoY was Ola Electric with 3,968 units (8,675).
