India Yamaha Motor Private Limited (IYM) recently organised the Annual Suppliers Conference at Greater Noida (Delhi-NCR). The conference was attended by 500 members representing more than 200 suppliers from across India. The theme of this year’s conference was “Challenge the Innovation for Global Competitiveness” and “It’s all about the Customer”.
The objective for conducting the Annual Suppliers Conference was to share the last year’s result for Sales and Production and the current year’s Sales and Production Plan. During the conference, IYM shared the direction for 2017, its purchase policy, the Purchasing Policy of Yamaha Motor Company (Japan) and activities organised & initiatives taken for Sales and marketing in the previous year.
Among the senior management members who were present on the occasion on behalf of IYM included Hiroaki Fujita, Chairman, Yamaha Motor India Group Cos. (YMI-G Cos.), Takashi Terabayashi MD -IYM, Yasuo Ishihara MD- Yamaha Motor Research & Development India (YMRI), T Yamaguchi Deputy MD & Purchase Head- IYM along with the YMC Purchase team – Olivier Prevost, Deputy Chief General Manager and . Hiroshi Hagio, General Manger.
“Our target for this year is to achieve 1 million unit sales in domestic market and 2.2 lakh unit sales for exports market. In addition, we also need to reinforce the Indian parts export business in order to contribute to Yamaha business globally. While doing so, we must continue with our focus on the ‘Quality’ of our parts and products”, said Hiroaki Fujita, Chairman, YMI-G Cos.
