The Sportrac 5 took top honours in the 2016 ADAC test, but both tyre models continue to garner a string of ‘recommended’ and ‘highly recommended’ awards in 2015/2016 Auto Zeitung, ÖAMTC and Swiss TCS along with the ACE and Sport Auto tests. The ADAC (Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club e.V.) (General German Automobile Club) is an automobile club in Germany. ADAC tyre tests are used by many consumers in their buying decision. This market relevance contributes to more safety on German and European roads. In cooperation with European automobile clubs and consumer protection organisations, ADAC annually tests two dimensions of winter and summer tyres respectively. In addition, comparative tests are conducted – e.g. all-season tyres versus winter tyres – as well as special programmes for 4x4 tyres and original equipment tyres.
