Braking appropriately is the key to safe riding. Use of both the front and rear brakes simultaneously, with appropriate proportioning, makes the braking control very effective, as there is more braking power to obtain from the front wheel.
But it is always a challenge for riders to use both, the throttle and brake control with one hand and therefore while braking in an emergency, people falter and have accidents. When the rider brakes hard and locks the wheel, it deprives steering control and leads to a fall.
TVS Motor Company conducted an intense research involving the physics and engineering of two-wheeler brake system and an in-depth customer study to understand various braking demands. This gave birth to the “Sync Brake System (SBS)”, which was first introduced in the TVS Wego.
• SBS relies on an innovative reaction relay lever to subtly co-apply brakes in quick succession. The relay effect ensures that the transition plays out smoothly and the deceleration is evenly distributed thus offering superior braking control.
• This braking feature automatically activates the front brake whenever the rear brake is used, thereby enhancing braking performance of the vehicle. While doing so, it triggers a single brake control mechanism called The Multiplier, which transfers the input force to both the wheels without any division of the force.
• Thus, the force required while braking is drastically reduced and the rider can carry this activity with ease. SBS improves brake efficiency, synchronized braking between the rear and front wheels with a pre-determined delay and force limiter function making it a low maintenance system.
• The rider enjoys perfect braking, through activation of single brake control (the rear brake), while the innovative technology takes charge of perfect balance between the two wheels, bringing all the braking power from both the wheels.
Today, SBS is available across all variants of TVS Wego and TVS Jupiter.
