Volkswagen has announced the appointment of Arvind Saxena as the Managing Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars in India. Saxena will be based out of Mumbai and will be heading the Volkswagen Brand with responsibility for Sales, After Sales and Marketing. Commenting on his appointment Arvind Saxena, Managing Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said “I am very happy to be part of Volkswagen and look forward to newer and more exciting challenges in one of the country’s most dynamic automotive company.” Added Gerry Dorizas, President and Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Sales India Pvt. Ltd. “It is a pleasure to have Saxena on board with us, we are confident that his extensive experience in the Indian automotive sector will contribute towards the growth of the Brand.” Saxena is a seasoned professional with nearly 30 years of experience in the automobile industry. Prior to joining Volkswagen, he was heading the Sales and Marketing operations at Hyundai Motor India Ltd.
