The Auto Division of RSB Transmissions (I) Ltd (with manufacturing plants in Pune, Jamshedpur and Uttarakhand) , the flagship company of RSB Group, was conferred with the Deming Prize, one of the highest awards in TQM (Total Quality Management) in the world, by JUSE (Union of Japanese Scientists & Engineers) at Tokyo on November 13, 2013. RK Behera, Chairman, RSB Group, received the coveted Deming Prize from Masahiro Sakane, Vice Chairman, Deming Prize Committee, JUSE, in a function at Keidnanren Hall, Tokyo Japan. M Sankaranarayanan, President – Auto Vertical and Mr. G Krishnasami, VP (TQM) were also present at the ceremony.
The Deming Prize is an annual award given by JUSE to organisations that successfully implement TQM (Total Quality Management) practices. It is one of the most coveted and prestigious awards in the world in the field of management practices. RSB is the only Indian company to win this award in 2013.
Accepting the award,. RK Behera said that TQM implementation has resulted in significant improvements in all performance indicators. He further added that TQM is thoroughly institutionalized at RSB and embedded into the gene of every employee.
