Ashok Leyland has launched two new offerings in the Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) segment, the PARTNER truck and the MiTR bus. The two are products of the Nissan-Ashok Leyland joint-venture. PARTNER has a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) capacity of 6.6T and comes in a choice of two wheel base options. The truck essentially has a focus on driver comfort and has a spacious car-like interior. MiTR is a 26+1+1 seater bus with the industry-first parabolic suspension in the front and the rear. The vehicle has been ergonomically designed to offer enhanced comfort and utility to passengers and drivers.
The Partner 2850 wheel-base is priced at Rs 8.89lakh for the LS (with power steering) variant and Rs 9.19lakh for LX (with power steering and HVAC system). Partner 3350 wheel-base will cost Rs 9.19lakh LS (with power steering) version and Rs 9.49lakh for LX (with power steering and HVAC system) variant. MiTR standard bus is priced at Rs 12.49lakh for the 26+1+1 seater set-up with power steering (all prices ex-showroom Chennai).
