The SCHECK Lagerhaus + Transporte GmbH, an expanding logistics and transport company, is continuously extending its fleet of currently more than 200 vehicles. Recently, this forwarding company in Neutraubling near Regensburg in Germany accepted delivery of 35 new Mega semi-trailers. These high-capacity trailers made by Kögel play an important role in the growth strategy of the transport and logistics specialists, who have been successful in the market for over 90 years. The new trailers are mainly used for transporting just-in-time goods for the automotive industry.
The Mega trailers are perfectly suited for conventional standard tasks as well as for use as a high-volume transport vehicle. Their usable internal height of three metres makes them the ideal trailers for the automotive sector. Loading and unloading of three stacked pallet cages is simple, thanks to the standard mechanical/hydraulic lifting roof. This roof-lifting equipment has a traverse of 500 millimetres and increases the lateral loading height to three metres. Furthermore, Kögel Mega has no straps hanging down into the loading area when the roof is open, because the straps are integrated into the roof tarpaulin. This entirely eliminates straps snagging on the load.
