For the month of July 2019, leading two wheeler manufacturer recorded a negative 15 per cent growth in sales for motorcycles in the domestic market at 170978 units as compared to 201433 per cent in July 2018. Fortunately for the company exports of motorcycles stood at 151232 units in July 2019 as compared to 131247 units in July 2018, thereby recording a 15 per cent growth. Overall, motorcycle sales decreased by 3 per cent in the period under consideration.
Similarly in commercial vehicles, while domestic sales came down by 4 per cent, exports declined by 21 per cent during the period.
