Leading passenger car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India Limited sold a total of 118560 units of passenger vehicles in the domestic market in December 2017, as compared to 106388 units in December 2016, thereby growing at 11.4pc. The company which also makes the Super Carry light commercial vehicles also sold 726 units (26 units) of this vehicle in December 2017 in the domestic market.
Overall, Maruti Suzuki sold 130,066 units (including exports) in December 2017, growing 10.3% over the same period of last fiscal. This includes 119,286 units in domestic market and 10,780 units of exports. The company had sold a total of 117,908 units in December 2016.
