Why should men have all the fun when it comes to an off-roading experience in some neat cars? Yes, on a hot summer day we expect the ladies to be safely tucked away in the comforts of their air-conditioned homes, drinking plenty of fluids to keep their skins all beautifully toned and watching a movie featuring their favourite hero. But when the Audi dealership in Pune invited them to experience the engineering capabilities of their Audi Q series SUVs on a dirt track, they simply jumped to the idea.
The lady drivers were invited by the Audi Pune dealership along with Jyotee Balani. The cars on the track included the Audi Q3, Q5 and Q7. These SUVs were tested on a natural off roading track. Audi dealerships across the country have been hosting similar off-road as well as race track events for a while. But these were usually with men getting the chance to drive the car. Never before had an all-woman event of such nature organised in the country.
The idea generated tremendous response from enthusiastic lady drivers in Pune and the energy and enthusiasm of the participants were contagious. A lady who has a child was encouraged by her husband to take a day off and enjoy this activity while he agreed to babysit for that day. These women braved the heat to take part in this adventurous activity which was followed by lunch and interesting activities such as nail art. At the end of the day, these women participants left the Audi Pune showroom in Baner showroom carrying a goodie bag each and an experience of a lifetime!
