Mercedes- AMG has launched yet another car this year. This time it’s the CLA 45 AMG’s dirty elder sister the GLA 45 AMG. Priced at Rs 69.6 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai), the GLA will have the same ground breaking 2.0L four cylinder engine as the CLA 45 AMG.
The 2.0 litre four cylinder engine found in the GLA 45 AMG produces 355bhp, making the most powerful 2.0 litre engine in production to date as Volvo’s engine is still a concept. The torque generated in this adrenaline pumping compact SUV is 450Nm hence the ‘45’ in the name tag. Despite its size and weight, it can do 0-100kmph in 4.8 seconds and goes all the way up to 250kmph only as it is limited. The ground breaking engine is mated to AMG’s double clutch Speedshift DCT 7-speed sports transmission. This compact SUV an handle roads and also the rough stuff that’s to Mercedes’ 4matic drive system, which is basically a front wheel drive cars, but power is sent to the rear wheels when rear traction is required.
